live coding streams - Haskell

Welcome to the Functional Programming Zulip Chat Archive. You can join the chat here.

Ok... I did some test runs last night and I'm going to go for it and start a live coding stream building stuff in Haskell. I'll post a link here later to my stream when I get it all set up. Planning on starting next week on Tuesday evenings, EST.

Starting a thread here for others who want to share their streams as well so we can all follow. :rainbowhaskell:

James King

I'm getting my stream set up at https://twitch.tv/agentultra check there for schedule and all of that. Look forward to seeing some of you in chat

First stream is live and should be up on my Youtube channel soon. Phew.

James King

I dunno why the video of me is out of sync with the audio but hope the next stream will be a little better.

James King

I'll be streaming tonight, 8:10pm EST! Planning on finally starting the parser/serialization/protocol stuff, discussing what has been going on with native windows socket support, etc.

James King

My replacement camera hasn't arrived yet so it's another audio + desktop session but it should be good. Would be great to see some more people in the chat to follow along and talk shop.

In half an hour? I'll watch.

Hey folks! Decided randomly to design a #React Hooks style #TUI in #Haskell on stream today!

I've done minimal prep and planning, so we'll discover how it works together (or maybe we won't) :)

Come hang out at 10pm UTC (i.e. 4 hrs from now)

Why all the cool stuff happens out of reach of CEST

Streaming again today!

7pm UTC

Today we’ll focus on efficient re-rendering, component caching, and maybe even Higher Order Components in my #React-style TUI library built in #Haskell!

Might possible be able to make this one @TheMatten ? Haha

TheMatten

I'll try, thanks!

TheMatten

Thanks once again - I was able to join for maybe an hour and now I'm pretty interested in how it turns out
